Dr. Kasandra Scales

Kasandra Scales MD, MPH is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Woodbridge Medical Center, Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. She pursued her Master of Public Health in sociomedical sciences/urbanism and the built environment at Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University and attended medical school and completed her residency at Upstate Medical University. Dr. Scales was a National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases Diversity Research Fellow, a SUNY Chancellor Award recipient, and an Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism Award recipient. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, a delegate of the American Medical Association, an American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Fellow, and a member of the Council on Patient Safety in Women’s Health Care. From the age of ten, Dr. Scales knew she wanted to pursue a career in medicine and give back to the village that poured into her; she has been unwavering in her commitment to support underserved and marginalized populations. Beyond medicine, she enjoys photography, traveling, spending time with family, and mentoring.
